Howick Hospice Virtual Remembrance

Howick Hospice welcomes you to our virtual Remembrance Service.

We have had the privilege to journey with many of you.

Though every person’s journey with cancer and ultimate death, we have learnt invaluable life lessons about life.

We share with you your agony of your grief.

The anguish of your heart finds an echo in our own.

We know we cannot enter all you feel, or bear with you the burden of your pain.

We can offer what our love does give:

The strength of caring,

the warmth of one who seeks to understand the silent storm- swept bareness of so great a loss.

This we do in quiet ways,

That, on your lonely path, you may not be alone.

In the rising of the sun and in its going down,

we remember them.

In the blowing of the wind and in the chill of winter,

we remember them.

In the opening of the buds and in the rebirth of spring,

we remember them.

In the blueness of the sky and in the warmth of summer,

we remember them.

In the rustling of the leaves and in the beauty of autumn,

we remember them.

In the beginning of the year and when it ends,

we remember them.

When we are weary and in need of strength,

we remember them.

When we are lost and sick at heart,

we remember them.

When we have joys we yearn to share,

we remember them.

So long as we live, they to shall live, for they are now a part of us,

as we remember them.

Thank you for joining us as we remember loved and lost.

Please feel free to contact us on 033 330 5257 should you wish to connect with one of our Clinical Team members.
